While the World Watches

What can we do as the world watches in desperation at the heart-ache, pain and suffering pronounced by war? Three powerful words: we can pray.

We pray for the men, women, and children who are fearing for their lives by fleeing the country from the Ukraine into Poland. We pray that God will give His wisdom as they cry out to Him for help and guidance. There have been multiple reports on news media of people gathering together in open places, to kneel and to pray. So we too, as their brothers and sisters in Christ, must join with them to intercede on their behalf.

My kudos to you today is to take a few minutes, find a quiet place and pray for these innocent people who face much turmoil, destruction and even possible death. Pray that God will shield especially the children from injury and harm. Pray that angels will surround many from rockets and bombs. Most importantly, pray for peace.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Ephesians 6: 10-18
