When Morning Dawns

Awakened this morning to God's beauty. I was stirring up my first cup of coffee. The light seemed to be glowing on my back porch, so I couldn't resist going outside and catch a memory of the early dawn sunrise. The smell of grass ignited my senses with the freshness of the day, plus the cool dew covering my toes and flip-flops awakened my sleepy self. Mesmerized, I took multiple shots, then just stood still as if waiting for something.

What intrigued me and called me into this place? It was if I wanted wings to fly through the blanket of clouds to get closer to the peacefulness of the quiet sunrise. However, I got aggravated with houses in the scene. I tilted my camera as high as possible to try and just get the treeline with the sunrise. I guess I was being selfish wanting to exclude everyone else from seeing "my" sunrise.

The inspiration of sunrise and sunset to many brings hope in a chaotic world. One is for a peaceful moment at the beginning of the day and the other is a reminder once again of that peace at the end of the day. The Creator is reminding us that He is always in control to the rhythms of the sunrise and sunset, regardless if we acknowledge it.

My kudos to you today is to watch a sunset and sunrise in the next few days. Allow yourself some quiet moments to soak in the sounds, smells, and sights. Ponder the thought that you are not in control of the world's problems. Release your worries and fears into the hands of an all-knowing God who wants to give you His peace and joy. Let you heart soar for a moment and marvel at the beauty of creation. It is perfectly painted and designed by the greatest artist of all!

When morning dawns and evening fades, He brings forth songs of joy!

Psalm 65: 8
