Turn Toward the Light

I took a quick pic of my gerber daisy this afternoon. It demands plenty of sunlight and warm temperatures, most of which we have here in Florida. I originally purchased the plant this past summer, but pretty much killed it after putting it in a location with too much heat. However, in the fall I repotted it and thought I'd try again.

To my surprise I started getting buds right after Christmas. Now the plant has several blossoms. It seems to do the best in partial shade with some afternoon sunlight. It struck me how amazing it is that the flowers know to turn towards the light. I guess we could say it is in their chemical make-up.

So it is with us as God's highest creation. He has put inside of each and every man, woman, and child a chemical make-up to "turn toward the light." All mankind searches to know Him. God put eternity into the heart of every person so that in our longing and confusion we will seek him.

My kudos to you today is to take time to turn towards the light because in so doing you will find that "something" you have been searching for.
