Trusting the Bridge

Updated: Nov 8, 2021

Last month on our way to Connecticut we crossed a massive bridge going into New York City. You had to pay a toll in order to use the bridge and cross over to the next highway we needed to reach. I'm glad Jesus has paid my toll through his finished work on the cross. Now I have free access to the Father and His love. His life and death filled the gap and the inaccessibility that was once there because of my sin is now gone. Thank you Jesus for being the bridge by sacrificing your blood on the cross!

In life there are bridges we find ourselves at that require crossing. Many we would rather not cross if it leads us to uncertainty or the unknown. When you don't know what's on the other side of the bridge or there is a crisis you are faced to walk through trust in the Lord. You can remind yourself of bridges that you have crossed successfully before and how you made it to the other side.

My kudos to you today is to say out loud the words, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. At certain moments in life we have no answers, no understanding. When that happens, just breathe a prayer and call on the one who owns the universe. He can open doors, solve issues, resolve problems, and can guide us step by step safely through to the other side. When you can't see his hand, trust his heart and it is a heart one of love!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
