To be or not to be

To be or not to be, that is the question. A well known quote from William Shakespeare, might shed some light on our soul-searching society. We were created as human beings, not human doings. Try asking someone today, "How you are you being today?" Sounds off doesn't it. Our typical greeting question is "How are you doing today?"

We have become a society in full motion ahead of do and go. How am I being today? Am I being kind and loving? I am being patient with others? Galatians 5:22-23 says, But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things!

The joy of a child is priceless. They take us to a place where we allow our hearts to sing with them, even if it's just for a moment. As we follow more the ways of Christ, his spirit will lead us into more joy and more life fulfillment. Allow yourself to just "be" today, and see where it might lead you. It is a choice. Blessings on you and yours today. Kudos to you "being" who you were created to be!
