Rainproof?

It was a stormy, rainy day today which called for a brisk walking pace this morning. I would have most likely passed, but when you have an adorable puppy face looking wantonly at you, the decision was easily made. The street gutters sounded like a rushing creek and my face was splashed with lots of raindrops. A good way to wake-up!!

The further we walked in our usual mile jaunt, I kept feeling how damp my back was getting. All of a sudden I felt water running down my back, inside of my raincoat. Hmmm....I guess this new rain coat is not so water proof. I had only worn it once before as a wind breaker, not as a rain storm jacket. I definitely would be shaking water off when we got home, along with the dog. LOL

When the storms in life come our way, sometimes we are not prepared and we find leaks in unexpected places. Circumstances change and it can change our perspective in life. My kudos to you today is to try and let it roll off your back. There's an expression we used growing up. "Let it roll off your back like water on a duck's back." Try not to take offense when things don't go your way or someone says something to annoy you. After all is said and done, what we get upset about usually isn't that big a deal. Plus we've all made our own stupid mistakes too. Forgive, take a deep breath and let the raindrops roll off your back.

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. Proverbs 12:16
