Out on the Edge? Hang-on!

Updated: Jan 21, 2023

Nature inspires me. It's beauty and design is limitless. The Vietnamese mossy frog lives in northern Vietnam, a region defined by limestone cliffs and evergreen rainforests. Vietnamese mossy frogs are found in flooded caves and in the banks of rocky mountain streams at elevations of 2,300 to 3,280 feet.

Do you feel like you are sometimes hanging on in an environment where you are out of place? Maybe this frog did or maybe not. You see he was created and specifically designed to live in an environment of cliffs. His Creator designed him to "live-on-the-edge" so to speak.

I've asked God, my Creator, why in life some have such a struggle and others seem to have few struggles. In reality, you have been given the equipment in your mind, soul, and body to complete all the tasks or challenges given to you. Just like the Vietnamese mossy frog, your make up has all the perfect designs. Your color was created for a purpose, your eyes, your personality, even your body shape. God purposely designed you! Unique fingerprints, eye design, and so much more.

My kudos to you today: When you feel like you are hanging on in life because of situations or circumstances, take confidence in knowing you are uniquely and perfectly created to be YOU and there is no one else like you in the world. Stop comparing yourself to others and use what you currently have as resources to thrive in your situation. Maybe you need to be camouflaged in your situation while the environment is dangerous. Ask the Lord to be your protector. He has given you every thing you need to live a full life of adventure, even if it seems you are hanging on at almost 3,300 feet above sea level!! God wants you to thrive, not just survive even if it's... Out on the Edge.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

Psalm 139: 7-10
