Forty-three years ago today a woman named Karen McCabe and a man named Brad Burrows knelt before a holy God and asked for his help for their lives together. There have been lots of challenges throughout the years but their love for their Savior, Jesus Christ has been the uniting factor through it all. When you humble yourself and ask for help for a task bigger than yourself God shows up! It's not all about live, laugh, love. It's about surrender. It's about commitment. It's about forgiveness. And after all is said and done at the end of the day, isn't that who Jesus was to mankind? Here's to another year asking for his help, staying surrendered, staying committed, and staying with forgiveness in our hearts.
My kudos to you today is ask God for a task that is bigger than yourself and humble yourself before him to receive his support. He loves to help us in our life's journey, but too many times we want to try and do it our own way. If we would ask for his help in the beginning of our situations, then we would encounter a presence that comes directly from heaven. It is available for all who will call upon the name of Jesus, ask forgiveness for their sins, and give him control of their life.
If someone asked me how you've made it through all these years, I'd say prayer. Turning to a Savior who can unite you with someone in a godly love that will endure throughout eternity. That's what love is... it's surrender, it's commitment, and it's forgiveness. Then all the rest will fall into place and then there will be true living, laughing, and loving!
