Changes in our life and in society happen in the blink of an eye these days. We see things changing, social norms changing, traditions changing. This has an affect on all of us. Don't get me wrong, some change can be for the better. But when a national disaster or a sudden sickness hits we are left blind sided. Where do you turn for help or mental comfort.
There is one who is always there for us. He is our Creator and God, the one who is always with us. That's what the word "Immanuel" means in the Bible. Translated literally it means "God with us." (Isaiah 8:10) Israel understood that God would guide, protect, and provide for His people on many occasions. Immanuel also means, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5) No wonder God's Messiah was given the name Immanuel.
My kudos to you today is to know that God is with you. Whatever you need. He can provide. He will never leave you or forsake you. No matter how your world changes, he is there to guide, protect, and provide.
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7 : 14
