Got Church?

I'm thankful for the heritage that has been laid for us in this country. Yes, we have seen many short-comings of the institution called "the church." But more miraculous than the negativity is the power that God's word, the Bible, has to change our hearts and lives. It is this power source that draws us as Christians to have a desire to fellowship together in one place. As like believers, together we draw strength and encouragement from one another.

Speaking of strength from others, why is it that in every major hospital there is a chapel? Why do our government officials and military have access to a Chaplain? It is because in this nation there is a remnant of believers and our past cries out from the many who went before us; those who hold fast to Biblical truths as a solid foundation for life. When a nation turns away from these truths, there will be chaos and havoc. Similarly when we turn away from these truths there will be chaos and havoc in our lives without a power source to carry us through.

My kudos to you today, is to seek the power source of all truth, Jesus. God wants you to know of His power source to you. Life will never be without struggles; we live in a fallen world. But God promises to help those who trust in Him, those who seek Him, those that set a side time for Him to worship with other believers.

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him. Nahum 1:7
