At different times over the years, my husband's family all try to get together. Some of us are spread out all over from the West Coast to the East Coast. Some of us live in the same state, but with different work schedules it makes it hard to meet up.
However when we do connect, it's like we picked up from where we just left off. How cool is that connection. Perhaps it is a God-given bond and one to be appreciated.
If you have far away family and it's been a while since you've chatted, why not call them up or schedule a Zoom call? I did that a few weeks ago and it was great to see far way faces. It is amazing how the simplest moments can be meaningful to someone.
My kudos to you to today is to appreciate the good and pleasant times with family. Embrace the family you've been given. Your paths are intertwined for a reason.
